Here's what you can easily do:
1. In the source code documentation of conv API there's a signal called
sending-im-message, sending-chat-message( which ever interface u r wanting
). Which is emitted just before u send a message is sent.
2. It has char **message as one of the arguments!!
3. Modify to whatever u like!
4. Write a plugin for it!
