It has unfortunately been proven time and time again that people really
don't read warning messages or other informational messages. Also, if we
were to start maintaining such a list we would be giving unofficial
'supported' status to the people behind the packages we did list, also, we
would need to keep watch to make sure that the links were all valid and
up-to-date, we would need to watch for people reporting invalid,
malicious, broken, etc. packages and remove the links, etc. Setting up
such a page would involve a large expenditure of effort on our part to
keep the list useful and would be of little gain for most people as most
distributions keep rather up to date on their packages.
